So happy together facing the end of summer and the beginning of autumn! I couldn’t imagine it better than “imagine me & you”…

nuno felted scarf -imagine me & you-

This nuno-felted scarf consists of chiffon silk (100%) in brick-brown colour and extra-fine (18 mic) merino wool from Australia and New Zealand in a punch of colours; violet, purple, lilac, deep red, red, orange, yellow, mustard yellow, grass green, cypress, green and black colours! Additionally extra fine mulberry silk threads in black are used in order to offer a shiny effect which adopts different hues depending on the natural light. The brick-brown chiffon silk is used as a basis for the scarf and the wool is applied on the top in order to create the patterning.

The scarf is created with the wet felting technique. The distinction between this nuno-felted scarf and a simple felted item is that it contains also a different material except from wool, i.e. silk. It measures approximately 167 cm (65.7in) length and 35-42 cm (13.8-16.5in) width.

The combination of wool in thin layers and silk gives a very light and airy; sometimes even sheer fabric!

felted arm warmers -Enigmas-

This pair of arm warmers is made of Australian and New Zealander extra-fine merino wool in orange, deep red, red and yellow colours. Additionally mulberry silk threads in blonde yellow are used to decorate them and to offer a shiny effect. Their edges are uneven and they can be worn inside out; one side covered with the patterning that you see on the photos and the other simply with green wool. They can be worn till the middle part of the hand as half gloves.

They measure approximately 25 cm (9.8 in) length and 9 cm (3.5 in) width (flat). They fit most wrists however they can be reshaped (smaller or larger) with the use of warm water.

This breezy and loose scarf is made with the cobweb felt technique, thus most of its parts are transparent with some small holes. This is the fascinating part of the cobweb felt which makes it unique.

For the scarf is used extra-fine merino wool from Australia (18 micron) and New Zealand (21 micron) in apple green, cypress green, yellow, deep red and orange, colours. Additionally a large quantity of extra fine mulberry silk threads again in deep red and blonde yellow are used in order to offer a shiny effect which adopts different hues depending on the natural light. The scarf is double-felted and has similar pattern on both sides.

It measures approximately 176 cm (69.3 in) length and 29-47 cm (1.41-18.5 in) width. It is narrow in the middle in order to be wrapped better around the neck and more than once and on the edges is wider giving the impression of a butterfly! The motif from flowers is visible on both sides!
