  1. wow you have some unique and exotic and colorful designs. Do u teach how to felt. I wpoild love to learn. This is gorgeous i never sen anything like this before. Great work

    • Thank you so much for tour kind words! When there are people who like to know how to felt, yes, I teach also! I hope you have the chance to learn someday!

  2. Your scarfs are really beatiful! You never explain how you are creating cobweb scarfs? I would like to make one for me . It’s a pleasure for eyes and i guess soft to touch.

    • Thank you, Anna, for your kind words! The problem of explaining the (web)felting technique is that you need many photos or a video in order to show the process. I usually work alone so it’s not easy but I am thinking of it, let’s say to create a tutorial! Have a beautiful day! 🙂

      • Thank you very much for quick answer. Photos are interesting and help to understand something, even for the beginner in wet felting like me. You are the real artist! What a sense of colors! When you make your rainbow scarf your clothes are the same color range. And i like poems which accompany scarfs .Good luck and a lot of inspiration!

      • Thank you so much, Anna! I love colors that’s why most of my felt and cloths are colorful! Good observation though! When I try to create something using only two three colors I get a “headache” but it can also give an interesting result! 🙂

  3. Good evening,
You are young and dark haired, all colors suit you.
Your monochrome Joy of darkness is fabulous.
During 2 days I was studing the process of rainbow scarf.I’ve got thousands of questions… Sure, I need practical lessons with you…
I decided to try on a small peace of silk. The result is “laisse à désirer” It doesn’ t give the impression airy, light . Like your scarfs. Too felted. You pour hot (very hot?) water directly on wool? How often? How much time you roll? Sorry for questions.
    Best wishes to you

    Anna

    • Good evening Anna,

sorry for this small delay but I had to work also some things out! No, it’s not true! All colors do not suit me, lets say brown or intense red (look awful on me) and also I am not so young as it seems on the photos, haha! 🙂

Regarding your felting experience now: it’s a bit difficult to explain through writing but I will try! First of all what kind of silk do you use? I usually apply either chiffon silk or ponge silk textiles, chiffon is easier to felt with wool. I use warm soapy water, not hot and I pour it directly on the wool (or wool and silk). I just pour it till it is totally wet but not too much soap). If it looks too felted it depends on how many times you roll it. There is not a specif amount of rolling it, again it depends on you how thick and affixed want your work. I usually roll it between 80-100 times from each side (total four sides). However you have always to stop and check if the wool is firmly attached on the silk textile or not, and if it is too attached (too felted) then of course you stop.

I hope I helped a bit! 🙂 If you have any more questions just tell me!

I wish you also a beautiful evening!

      My best,
      Katerina

  4. Good evening, Katerina,

Thank you so much for your answer and your kind explanations.
I spent several days away . My experiences with wool and silk were stopped. But it’s like a drug, it’ s necessary for me to start again and again, even when my production is good to throw out.
Tomorrow i’ll cut some peaces of silk, pongé or chiffon, and i’ll try again. May be after trying 100 hundred times I would be able to make something pleasant to look at.

I am very grateful to you for your advises. You help me a lot .

If you look young on the photos, you are young!!!

    All the best to you.

    Anna

    • Hello Anna,

I hope your new attempt to become a fruitful experience! It would be nice if you could;d take some photos of your results! I would like to see them! My email is: qaraqul@yahoo.co.uk

You are very welcome! I would love to help more if I can!

      Good luck! 🙂
