“…I am a new day rising
I’m a brand new sky
To hang the stars upon tonight
I am a little divided
Do I stay or run away
And leave it all behind?
It’s times like these you learn to live again
It’s times like these you give and give again
It’s times like these you learn to love again
It’s times like these time and time again.”

This nuno-felted scarf is a combination of extra fine merino wool from Australia in orange-red, cotton gauze fabric in beige and natural local wool flakes (processed by me) in a variety of natural colours, ranging from white to black. The scarf consists of three very thin layers. The two of them are from merino wool on the two outer sides and in the middle there is the cotton gauze fabric which becomes visible only on some parts of the scarf. It is decorated with wool flakes which create an uneven and crispy surface. Moreover the use of wool flakes in natural color produce an intensive contrast with the bright orange color. The scarf was made using the wet-felting technique and the distinction between this nuno-felted scarf and a simple wet-felted item is that it contains also a different material except from wool, i.e. cotton.
The scarf measures approximately 167 cm (65.7 in) length and 40-53 cm (15.7-20.9 in) width.
The cotton-wool combination offers a soft and cozy feeling and because its dimensions the scarf will keep you warm from head to back during the cold days and nights of winter!
